In Loving Memory of Alain Dang [1976-2014]

Alain Dang was a community leader by example. He helped create API Equality – Northern California, served as a founding board of the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA), and worked as a staff member of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. It is without a doubt Alain has touched the lives of many during his time with all of us. Read more.

We’re bringing our Dragon Fruit Project to UC Berkeley’s 24th Annual API Issues Conference: “In Solidarity.” Join our workshop at noon! Also, the keynote speech will be delivered by our friend and NQAPIA Board Member, Jayden Thai. Go, Jayden!

March 9: Dragon Fruit Transcribing Day

Participants will be transcribing LGBTQ API stories from the 60s through the 90s. Join us for this unique opportunity to share histories, legacies, and lived experiences among different generations. RSVP HERE.
